SPREADPROSPECTS<00572> - Unusual volume movement

The Stock Exchange has received a message from Spread Prospects Holdings 
Limited which is reproduced as follows:-   

"This statement is made at the request of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong 
Limited. 

We have noted that the recent increases in the trading volume of the 
shares of Spread Prospects Holdings Limited ("the Company") and wish to 
state that we are not aware of any reasons for such increase.

Save as disclosed in our announcement dated 2 December 2004, we also 
confirm that there are no negotiations or agreements relating to intended 
acquisitions or realizations which are discloseable under the rule 13.23, 
neither is the Board aware of any matter discloseable under the general 
obligation imposed by rule 13.09, which is or may be of a price sensitive 
nature. 

Made by the order of Spread Prospects Holdings Limited the Board of the 
directors of which individually and jointly accept responsibility for the 
accuracy of this statement. 

As at the date of this announcement, the Board comprises Mr. Yang 
Zongwang, Mr. Ng Kin Sun, Mr. Xue Xi, Mr. Xue De Fa and Mr. Liu Zhi Qiang, 
who are executive directors of the Company and Mr. Chong Hoi Fung, Mr. 
Tong Hing Wah and Mr. Ng Wai Man, who are the independent non-executive 
directors of the Company.
